Warning: This post is very picture heavy.
Last Saturday my best friend got married. It was an amazingly beautiful ceremony and I am so thankful I got to be a part of it. I did, however, get the worst spray tan EVER, and my hands and feet ended up being completely orange. The whole insides of my legs were also white. So that was another whole ordeal trying to make it look decent before the wedding. You should have seen me soaking my hands in vinegar and rubbing them with lemons, which in my opinion was a waste of a perfectly good lemon.
But here are some of the photos I snapped, and some my mom snapped since I was in the wedding. I was able to get some pretty decent ones of her getting ready, and of them/her posing. Oh, I should also mention that she’s FIVE MONTHS PREGNANT. Like really.. I need her to birth my children, because I would blow up like a house.

This is me and my favorite little boy.

This guy was clearly done with the day.
I went to the zoo today, and had a blast. I’ve been going on more and more outings by myself and it actually isn’t that terrible. I always had a fear that I’d be a loser if I went anywhere by myself, but now that I’m older I enjoy not being around people (hah). Sometimes it’s just important to renew who you are, and go out alone. I loved today, and I’m hoping to find some other places pretty soon that I can just go and take pictures and not be rushed by other people.

I did a shoot with my friend Taylor the other day, and it was probably my favorite I’ve done. We went up one of my favorite walking tracks here in Nashville, and found all kinds of “secret paths” through the woods. One in particular was absolutely amazing, and I’ll definitely be going back there for some me time, and of course to fish. Without further delay here is Taylor’s set. Seriously, how gorgeous is she?

One of my friends from Fashion School asked me recently to help her with some of her homework. Of course I was going to, anything Madmen inspired, and fashion figure related, was right up my alley. I may have hated fashion school, but I loved, and still love, designing and painting new things. Although this wasn’t so much as designing it myself, but copying an outfit, it was still amazing to do. I had to do six figures, 3 of Betty and 3 of Megan. Here’s the Megan figures. I’d show you the Betty’s but my scanner kept cropping off their heads and feet.

I’ve been working so hard on my action packs. I think I had around 20-25 completed, and now they’ve all been deleted. Thank You Photoshop. It could be a blessing in disguise, but right now I would like to pull my hair out. I worked for weeks on all of them, and now I have to start over. Starting over might not be such a bad thing, but it’s just the fact that all my work is gone, and I have nothing to show for it at the moment!
I did however, get to do a pretty neat session today. I’ve been playing around with gradients so I figured I’d edit accordingly.

EDIT:// The B&W action pack, and the Basics action pack are now available on etsy, here.
I’ve been working hard on my new action sets, and I think I finally have at least the B&W set done. These will be available for purchase very very soon. If you’re interested in these please email me at thebeatniq@gmail.com! This whole set of pictures is mostly outtakes from a session I tagged along with Abby, Maya, and Knox.
